    Brandon's oldest daughter from his previous marriage, Savannah, is 16 years old and lives with her father and Clarkson in their home. According to her , Savannah participates in equestrian competitions and has already won a number of them. She recently joined Clarkson at the 2017 American Music Awards red carpet along with her younger stepsister and Clarkson's daughter, River Rose.

    Clarkson has said that she has an open line of communication with Savannah and often talks with her about life and love.

    "Anytime our 16-year-old asks me questions, you know, life questions, it's always like, just calm down and don't take it all to heart. You gotta be easier about life. Let it go," she told .
