Molly Ephraim, who played daughter Mandy Baxter, and Flynn Morrison, who played grandson Boyd Baxter, have chosen not to come back for the show’s seventh season. The roles of Mandy and Boyd Baxter will be recast, so don’t be surprised if they look a little different this fall. reports that Kaitlyn Dever, who plays Eve, is still in negotiations about coming back as a recurring character.
But the rest of the main cast, including Tim Allen (Mike), Nancy Travis (Vanessa), Amanda Fuller (Kristin), Jonathan Adams (Chuck), Christoph Sanders (Kyle), Jordan Masterson (Ryan), and Hector Elizondo (Ed) are all set to return. Some fans saw Mandy’s future coming, since her character didn’t appear much in a teaser trailer for the new season, and neither did Eve.
