Carrie Underwood is adding “another little fish” to her pond!
The “Cry Pretty” singer, 35, announced on Wednesday that she is expecting her second child with husband and NHL player Mike Fisher, 38. Their bundle of joy will join the couple and their 3-year-old son Isaiah.
In a video posted to Instagram, the country star shared info about her upcoming tour, which doesn’t kick off until 2019.
“You might be wondering or asking ‘Carrie, why is your tour starting in May?’” she teased, adding, “Well—yay!” The clip then zooms out to show a big balloon that says, “Baby,” serving as her reveal for the big news.
“Mike and Isaiah and I are absolutely over the moon and excited to be adding another little fish to our pond,” she continued. “This has just been a dream come true with album and baby news and all that stuff we’re just so excited.”
Her happy family update comes just a week after she expressed concern in that she and Fisher “missed out chance to have a big family.”
“We always talk about adoption and about doing it when our child or children are a little older,” she said. “In the meantime, we’re lucky to be a part of organizations that help kids, because our focus right now in our lives is helping as many kids as possible.”
Between recovering from a scary accident that left her with 40 stitches in her face, recording her album that’s releasing September 14, and with a baby on the way, this has been a landmark year for Underwood.
“[We’re] so glad you guys can share in this with us and be a part of this with us,” she concluded her announcement. “Have a great day!”
