Carrie Underwood dropped some big news this morning on Instagram. After hooking us with the announcement of her , the "Cry Pretty" singer revealed something even more surprising: She and husband Mike Fisher are expecting baby number two! But with all the excitement, one sweet message nearly went right over our heads.
"Mike and Isaiah and I are absolutely over the moon and excited to be adding another little fish to our pond," the country star said in a sweet video. "This has just been a dream come true with album and baby news and all that stuff we're just so excited."
Did you catch that (pun intended)? Another little fish. What first seemed like a simple metaphor takes on new meaning when you remember the singer's husband's surname: Fisher. How cute! We love that Carrie calls her children "little fish."
Clearly, Fisher's more than a name for this family. Mike, Carrie, and their 3-year-old son, Isaiah Michael Fisher, have frequently been photographed with fishing poles (or fish!) in hand.
The Fishers' love of the outdoor extends to activities such as riding horses, swimming at the lake, and exploring corn mazes as well.
Mike and his dad (the Fisher patriarch!) also hunt for deer together, and Mike's already teaching Isaiah how to handle a bow and arrow.
Many congratulations to the growing Fisher family—or should we say "school?"
