Chip Gaines is back at it again with the return of his "" program, and this year's submissions are bigger and better than before. In fact, this batch of entries even includes some celeb endorsements.
When Rhonda Hefton—a founding board member of Oklahoma's —decided to throw her hat in the ring, her friends Megan Mullally of , and her husband, actor, Nick Offerman made sure that the Fixer Upper stars knew she was a contender.
"This is my oldest friend," Megan tweeted at the former HGTV hosts. "She is the real thing, committed to helping the homeless and disenfranchised. would you please consider her project for your program? she’s worked very hard, but now she needs your help xx."
Soon after her initial post, Megan's husband and star of the new NBC show, , chimed in to give his recommendation. In his message, he even praised the Gaines couple for their "gumption, your elbow grease, and your marital tenacity."
The result of their social media pleas? A priceless reaction from Chip and his Magnolia Market team.
"Ok, ok, you two. You got my attention," Chip replied. "Not to mention, the whole office is completely geeking out!"
He was so impressed that he recommended Nick start his very own program. "You know, if it doesn't work out this time, there's always #Nickstarter," he wrote.
Chip started his contest in hopes of helping out struggling entrepreneurs, a passion of which he discovered while writing his book, . Though submissions are now closed, fans should keep their eyes peeled for a chance to enter the next round of the famous contractor's—or Nick's!—do-good competition.
