While his on-screen wife Mandy Moore is engaged to Taylor Goldsmith, frontman of the indie rock band Dawes, Milo has never been married. In fact, he's famously tight-lipped about his love life.
After having high-profile relationships with costars, the 40-year-old actor appears to be keeping his dating on the down-low with someone outside Hollywood. Last we heard, Milo was quietly seeing marketing coordinator Kelly Egarian, with whom he's been linked since 2016.
Milo, 40, and Kelly, 31, who works for fashion designer Stella McCartney, made their first appearance in the spotlight in September 2017 at that year's Emmy Awards in Los Angeles.
The couple didn't walk the red carpet together but did sit together at the ceremony and attended a post-Emmy dinner together, reported .
No doubt Kelly's company helped console Milo, who was nominated for outstanding lead actor in a drama series for This Is Us but lost to costar Sterling K. Brown (fun fact: they're both up for the award again this year).
The Emmy outing may be as much confirmation about the relationship from Milo as he's going to give. He and Kelly were first spotted together in December 2016, when she was only identified as a "mystery brunette" by .
On the other hand, in March, Milo was photographed having a fun day with a mystery blonde at Disneyland in Anaheim, California. While the outing may or may not have been a date, the two were seen smiling and laughing on several rides at the park, according to the .
It's doubtful that fans will ever get clarification; Milo has learned to remain silent about his personal life. He said little about dating actress Alexis Bledel from 2002 to 2006 while he played her love interest on the television series Gilmore Girls, his first big acting break.
The costars discussed marriage at one point, though Bledel downplayed the talk.
"I think everybody who has been dating for more than a couple of years probably talks about it at some point. It's a fun thing for us to talk about, but that's it," Bledel said in 2005, according to .
Later, Milo said he would never date a costar again after his experience with Hayden Panettiere, who starred with him on the television series Heroes. They dated for two years, from 2006 to 2008, starting when he was 30 and she was 18. Not surprisingly, the relationship drew intense media attention.
Asked what he learned from the experience in an interview with , a men's fashion website, Milo responded: "Never do it again." But he also added, "There are things that happen to you in your life that shape who you are. Everything I've been through from jobs to friendships to partnerships, everything has built me to who I am. You learn from it."
"It wasn't until my mid to late twenties that the job wears on you, relationships wear on you," the star continued. "But I wouldn't change a thing. When you get knocked over the head in life, it builds your perspective."
