The Hidden Detail You Missed About Carrie Underwood’s AMA Red Carpet Dress

Did you catch this?

Could someone "Remind Me" of a time when Carrie Underwood didn't look flawless? Because we really don't think that exists—and we have the photos to prove it!

Underwood was glowing at the 2018 American Music Awards on Tuesday night, which served as her first red carpet appearance since she announced she was having a second child. In December 2014, Carrie attended the American Country Countdown Awards sporting her first baby bump. She arrived in a figure fitting dress that also had intricate golden accents on the sleeves and at the waste. Both getups also feature a slight mermaid-style bottom and cut-out sleeves. She also wore very similar gold dangling earrings, paired with her signature smokey eye and nude lip combo to both events.

But the resemblances don't stop there! Her performance attire at both shows also share parallels. Last night, the singer donned a flowing maroon dress, and in 2014, when she performed a medley of her biggest hits, she also opted for a loose-fitting number. Both have sheer fabric, a belt detail, and ruching at the bodice. She also styled her hair with loose waves on the two occasions, with her front layers cooly swept aside.
