In just a short time, actress Jessica Lowndes has become a fan-favorite actress on the Hallmark Channel, joining the ranks of several other popular leading ladies like Lacey Chabert and Candace Cameron Bure.
The 29-year-old will be featured in the network’s annual "Countdown to Christmas" program for the fourth year in a row with her new movie, Christmas at Pemberley Manor. To celebrate her return, we've rounded up some fun facts and surprising tidbits about the rising star. Here's everything you need to know about the new Hallmark regular.
This is her fifth Hallmark movie.
Prior to her upcoming feature, Christmas at Pemberley Manor, Lowndes appeared in the network's (2016), Merry Matrimony (2015), and Hallmark Movies and Mysteries' Magical Christmas Ornaments (2017). You may also remember her from her supporting role in Yes, I Do (2018).
You'll likely recognize her from several other movies and television shows, too.
For five seasons, Lowndes played Adrianna on the CW's revival. Following her starring role on the show, she acted opposite Bruce Willis and John Cusack in (2014).
When she's not acting, she's working on music.
The talented performer writes music and plays piano in her spare time, and has released several singles over the years. In fact, she landed her 90210 role thanks to her vocal skills, she revealed on Hallmark Channel's . She keeps her love life pretty private, but made headlines when she "dated" Jon Lovitz in 2016.
Ahead of the release of her single Deja Vu (Remix), Lowndes revealed to fans that she was engaged to former Saturday Night Live headliner Jon Lovitz—but it turns out, it was all a prank. "I came up with the idea for [the fake relationship],” Lowndes told . “I thought maybe it would get some traction but I wasn’t expecting it to blow up like this.”
As it turns out, Lovitz is just a friend who made a cameo in her Deja Vu (Remix) music video. It's not clear who she's dating right now, but she's been connected to Olympic skier Jeremy Bloom in the past.
She obsessed with Christmas movies.
Just like Hallmark's loyal viewers, Lowndes loves a romantic holiday flick. "I love filming Christmas movies," she shared on Hallmark's . "There's nothing like it. You can't not smile when you're watching these films." And to celebrate the most wonderful time of the year, she's made it a tradition to host an annual Yuletide gathering with friends, and always throws on a seasonal film for everyone to watch.
She's hoping to work with one particular Hallmark costar again.
While there's no word on what Lowndes plans to do next, there's one specific gig she's hoping to land: a reprise with her castmate, Daniel Lissing. The actress became fast friends with the former When Calls the Heart star on their set a couple of years back. And now she's hoping the network will cast them together again. We suspect a sequel may be in the works!
