Megyn Kelly Today after host Megyn Kelly . Now, the Today show has moved on without her. So far, the third hour of the Today show is very similar to the first two hours, using the same hosts and covering similar topics, reports. And that’s what is expected to continue at NBC going forward.
As the third hour began on October 29, anchor addressed the camera with Al Roker and Craig Melvin by her side. “Today, as you know, we are starting a new chapter in the third hour of our show as it evolves,” Kotb said. “We want you to know that the entire Today family will continue to bring you informative and important stories, just as we always have.”
They spent the first 20 minutes of the broadcast in a similar format to the previous two hours of the show, with Savannah Guthrie reporting on the synagogue shooting in Pittsburgh. After that, took over hosting, sitting in Kelly’s old studio.
Later in the hour, Hager sat down with Melvin and Roker to interview a 911 dispatcher and the man whose life she helped save. The three also took on segments about Halloween and cooking, but skipped Kelly’s old tradition of giving the audience prizes.
The show will look very familiar to Today loyalists, because Roker, along with , Willie Geist, and Natalie Morales, previously anchored the show’s third hour before Kelly took over. Her hour did not exceed Roker’s in ratings. So far, it has not been confirmed whether Kelly will take a new position at NBC or leave the network entirely.
