Last week, Megyn Kelly Today after host Megyn Kelly made on Halloween. Aside from a tweet offering prayers for the victims in the Pittsburgh synagogue shooting this weekend, Kelly has stayed quiet on social media.
But on Wednesday, she broke her silence to call out the tabloids for invading her privacy —and allegedly taking photos and videos of her children.
“For a week, paparazzi [have] been lurking outside my home day and night. Finally today I took my kids to school,” she wrote. “I went out alone first, offered them donuts and begged them to leave my kids alone when they emerged. All were nice, except the Daily Mail.”
“The Daily Mail first published photos of my husband in our home and then did photograph my kids, trailed us to my daughter’s school, and secretly videotaped my 7-year-old child (her classmates too) and posted it,” she claimed. “This is not right.”
Kelly was probably referring to a published Wednesday that featured photos of her, doughnuts in hand, asking photographers to avoid taking pictures of her children. The article also features photos of her husband, Doug Brunt, looking on from their apartment. But photos and videos of her children were not included in the story as of Wednesday afternoon.
The Daily Mail has not issued a public response to Kelly’s claims. GoodHousekeeping.com has reached out to the Daily Mail for comment and will update this post if they issue a response.
