Here’s the story, of some must-see TV!
HGTV recently purchased the Southern California home most famous for appearing on The Brady Bunch—and reunited the kids from the iconic sitcom to help renovate it. Now, the cable network is revealing more details of how they’re going to give the old house new life. Each actor will be pairing up with an HGTV star to restore a different part of the Brady property, reports.
Maureen McCormick (Marcia) will team with Property Brothers stars Drew and Jonathan Scott to work on the front of the house, the entryway, and living room. McCormick shared photos of the cast goofing off on set, just like old times.
Susan Olsen (Cindy) will renovate the girls’ bedroom, the second floor landing, the hallway, and the bathroom with Good Bones stars Mina Starsiak Hawk and Karen E. Laine. Olsen told People when she was a little kid on the show, the producers lied to her and told her the inside of the house looked just like the set of The Brady Bunch. (In fact, it looks completely different.) “I was lied to. It hurt my feelings all those years ago,” she told the magazine. “There’s a nine-year-old inside of me saying, ‘See, see, I was right!'”
Mike Lookinland (Bobby) will also work with the Good Bones duo on the second floor hallway and landing, the boys’ bedroom. Eve Plumb (Jan) will have Restored by the Fords stars Leanne and Steve Ford on her side, as they take on the family room and kitchen.
Christopher Knight (Peter) will tackle the master suite with Hidden Potential’s Jasmine Roth, and Barry Williams (Greg) will also pair with Roth on Mike’s den and office. And Plumb and Williams will transform Greg’s attic and Alice’s room with Flea Market Flip star Lara Spencer.
Viewers should get ready for lots of nostalgia—and emotions, too. “[The cast is] going to cry,” Laine told People. “That’s our goal, to make people happy cry. Just have a lot tears, ruin whatever makeup you might be wearing and hug everybody.” A Very Brady Renovation is set to air next year.
