Former 'NCIS' Star Pauley Perrette Shared a Throwback Photo That Made Fans So Emotional

"We miss you, Pauley."

NCIS fans were devastated when Pauley Perrette announced that she was leaving the CBS show after 15 seasons. The actress, who portrayed forensic specialist Abby Sciuto, promised that she was leaving of her own accord and all was well between her and the network. (Despite a flurry of cryptic tweets suggesting otherwise.) When the series returned for season 16 with a new replacement for Abby, viewers still had trouble accepting that the beloved forensic scientist was really gone.

It's been months since Pauley's character last appeared on a new NCIS episode, but people are still feeling the actress's absence. She posted an old photo of herself alongside a more recent shot as part of social media's "10-year challenge," and fans quickly became emotional.

I’ll play (took me forever to find an old pic!) 2008 & 2018

"We miss you, Pauley," one Twitter user wrote. "Watched NCIS marathon a few days ago with the best cast ever. Harmon, Weatherly, de Pablo, Perrette, McCallum, Murray, Dietzen, Carroll. Wish it could have lasted forever."

Plenty of others agreed that the 49-year-old actress doesn't seem to have aged since she first joined the cast of NCIS nearly two decades ago in 2003. Pauley responded to the comments with some cheeky advice, crediting a simple skincare routine and beer for her youthful appearance.

"FYI Only use soap and Vaseline on my face. Nothing else. (Don’t believe the hype) my mom was so much more beautiful. I give 'not aging gene' to her, except cancer got her first. And beers maybe? I love beer," she wrote.

So, lather on some petroleum jelly and crack open a cold one next time you're watching NCIS and missing Pauley. Because if you can't spend time with your favorite actress, you can at least mimic her self-care ritual. 😉
