Between America’s Got Talent, The Voice, American Idol, and the outrageous new Masked Singer, we have plenty of reality competition shows to obsess over. But make room in your DVRs, people, because there’s another major series that’s about to take over TV.
The World’s Best is making its debut in February, and it’s about to become a worldwide phenomenon. Just what does this consist of? Let us break it down for you.
THE QUICK STATS:
- The World’s Best premieres immediately after the Super Bowl on February 3, 2019 on CBS.
- James Corden will host, and RuPaul, Drew Barrymore, and Faith Hill will be the primary judges.
- It will feature acts from “every genre imaginable, from every corner of the planet.”
Okay, but I have more questions. What’s up with the judging?
Drew, Faith, and RuPaul are not the only ones competitors need to impress. There will also be a panel consisting of the world’s 50 most accomplished experts across entertainment who will serve as the “Wall of the World.” reports the countries represented include Australia, Mexico, Sweden, China, and more. That’s not intimidating at all...
Can I see exactly what this is going to look like, please?
Yep! was just released on CBS (see it above), and all we have to say is WOW. Pianists, gymnasts, martial arts experts, trapeze artists, singers, child stars—there’s no shortage of gifted hopefuls crossing their fingers (and other limbs) that they’ll be crowned the “planet’s most amazing talent.”
And what’s the prize?
The winner will walk away with $1 million dollars, and, of course, the title of "The World's Greatest."
To see all the wonderfully weird and amazing acts for yourself, tune into The World's Greatest on Sunday, February 3, after the Super Bowl.
