Kristoff St. John has died at the age of 52.
The Young and the Restless star was found dead on Sunday at his home in the San Fernando Valley, according to People. His lawyer, Mark Geragos, also shared the following statement:
"Few men had the unique strength, courage & sensitivity that @kristoffstjohn1 lived every single minute of every day. He impacted everyone he met and millions who he inspired and in turn admired him. On behalf of @MiaStJohnBoxer & @TheStJohnFamily thank you for all of your love."
People reports that the Los Angeles Police Department confirmed that a death investigation took place on Sunday for possible alcohol overdose. He was engaged to a Russian model, Kseniya Mikhaleva, and had two daughters: Paris, who he shared with ex-wife Mia St. John, and Lola, with ex-wife Allana Nadal. His and Mia’s son, Julian, died by suicide in 2014 at the age of 24.
Many took to social media to mourn Kristoff. Days of Our Lives star Tyler Christopher wrote, “Thank you for your friendship when I was having a difficult time some years ago. You didn’t even know me yet you dropped whatever you were doing to meet with me and share your spirit in hopes that it may life mine.”
Vivica A. Fox posted a heartbreaking tribute to her “good friend,” while fellow The Young and the Restless stars Michael Damian and Jason Canela also expressed being “truly saddened” by the news.
“Got to share some pretty good laughs with him,” Jason wrote. “That’s how I’ll choose to remember him, with a smile on his face. Rest In Peace brother.”
