'The Talk' Host Sheryl Underwood Pays Tearful Tribute to Kristoff St. John

"The Young and the Restless" star died at 52.

Kristoff St. John is being remembered by his daytime television family.

Following The Young and the Restless star’s shocking death at 52, many of his-costars and friends have paid tribute to the actor. Now, The Talk’s Sheryl Underwood is speaking out about Kristoff, opening up about the tragic loss and Kristoff’s personal battle after his son, Julian,

“I believe Kristoff St. John died of a broken heart,” she said in the video above. “I don’t believe that he ever got over the death of his son five years ago and he was carrying the weight of the world on his shoulders and the struggles that a lot of people deal with, even his character portrayed some of the struggles that I think he was dealing with himself.”

Sheryl, who appeared on TYATR while Kristoff was on the show, continued to recall Kristoff’s climb to fame, and how he ultimately became an “integral part of the foundation” of the popular soap opera.

“Our hearts are broken, as well, because CBS daytime has lost one of our own,” she said.

The host also shared kind words for Kristoff’s loved ones, which includes his fiancée Kseniya Mikhaleva and his two daughters, Paris and Lola.

“While we pray the strength of the St. John family, we want them to know how much we appreciate the time we had with him,” she said. “That we were better for it to be in his presence because he was a good man, a great father, a great husband and very well loved in this business. We wish him peace and rest in paradise.”
