NCIS’s special episode revolving around the one and only Ziva David is coming—but we have to wait another week to see it.
The CBS show teased viewers during the 2019 Super Bowl with an ad for the upcoming program, titled “She,” which heavily involves beloved character Ziva (Cote de Pablo). Naturally, fans went nuts for the news, as she hasn’t appeared on the crime drama since
We were supposed to get some answers on February 5, when “She” was originally slated to air. But Ikaroo.info has confirmed that the season 16 installment will not run until February 12, as the State of the Union Address is now being broadcast on February 5 instead. This has also shifted other episodes in the season as well, though the new schedule has not yet been confirmed.
Of course, we’ve waited this long for a Ziva mystery, we can wait a little longer. But it’s going to be hard: The preview above promises that, “The biggest NCIS secret of all will be revealed.” As if that wasn’t tantalizing enough, the clip also shows Gibbs (Mark Harmon) losing his patience with Bishop (Emily Wickersham) and shouting, “Don’t tell me about Ziva!” Yeesh. He looks more upset there than he did during the Yanny vs. Laurel debate.
The circumstances surrounding Ziva’s reemergence are still very unclear. A sneak peek on CBS says that Ziva is brought up after a confused 9-year-old is found in a storage unit, and Bishop later discovers notes that Ziva kept about the case long after the NCIS stopped investigating. Which seems suspicious for a variety of reasons, primarily that Ziva apparently has a child with Tony DiNozzo (Michael Weatherly), according to .
Whether or not we will actually see Ziva on our screens—even as a flashback—is also still fuzzy. She's known to be dead after she was killed in a mortar attack, but her body was never found, which could mean anything in the world of NCIS.
So what should you do while you wait for Ziva’s next move? Cross your fingers for a cameo and watch her re-runs, of course.
