Please keep the BAU safe!

Criminal Minds is moving one step closer to its final episode forever (which I'm still very much in denial about, by the way). The season 14 finale is tonight, and the series that's normally about ghastly crimes might actually showcase a happy—and highly anticipated—event for a change.

Love is in the air, as we'll finally see David Rossi (Joe Mantegna) say "I do." But before he walks down the aisle, he'll need to help save his team from some life-threatening trouble, because of course it can't just be your average wedding.

Tonight's episode, titled "Truth or Dare," will follow the BAU members to Los Angeles, where they are looking into a string of gruesome murders involving car accidents and fatal shootings. "First he scares them, then he punishes them," Rossi grimly notes in a video sneak peak.

Everyone then travels to the Golden State to investigate, and a precarious situation turns much worse when Dr. Spencer Reid (Matthew Gray Gubler) and J.J. Jareau (A.J. Cook) are taken hostage by the armed suspect, according to Entertainment Tonight.

The publication reports the rest of the crew—Rossi, Tara Lewis (Aisha Tyler), and Matthew Simmons (Daniel Henney)—go into full damage control to get their co-workers and friends out and alive. Although the situation is dire, Rossi appears to have faith in his colleagues. "We've got two of our best agents in there," he assures his squad. "We need to trust that they'll keep things under control until we can find a way in."

Rossi seems confident that he can rescue his comrades, and we hope he follows through—we all have a wedding to attend! And it sounds like the ceremony will be a memorable one. Showrunner Erica Messer told TV Guide that the series aimed for an "emotional end to the episode" as opposed to a shocking one. But he promises, "Still, it's a cliffhanger moment."

To see if he makes it back to his bride in time, tune into "Truth or Dare," tonight at 10 p.m. EST on CBS.
