Kelly Clarkson has a lot reasons to be proud.
Her career took off after she was crowned the winner of American Idol in 2002 and released her first chart-topping single. Since then, Kelly has sold millions of albums, taken the stage on nine headlining tours, and earned plenty of recognition for her success. The singer has won 13 Billboard Music Awards, six Teen Choice Awards, four American Music Awards, and three Grammy Awards—just to name a few.
With a list of honors that long, it's easy to imagine that Kelly would proudly display her trophies around her house. But *true* fans of the country girl know showing off like that just wouldn't be her style.
Ahead of the 61st Annual Grammy Awards, Kelly admitted in an interview with that she actually hides her gilded gramophones.
"[I keep them] on the top floor of our house so nobody sees them, and I don't look like a tool that's like, 'Hey, here are all my accolades,'" Kelly said. "But I really love them, and I am very proud of them. And if you have them out, you're not a tool. It's just, I would feel like a tool."
Just when you think it's not possible to love Kelly any more, she goes and says something like that to remind you that the fame has never gone to her head. Oh, and did I mention that she's nominated for another Grammy this year?
Personally, I think the superstar deserves to have an entire room dedicated to her awards. But if she doesn't want to show off her Grammys, maybe someday she'd consider letting a fan (perhaps who's also named Kelly 🤷) display them. I bet that gold-plated trophy would look great above
my someone's fireplace. Just saying.
