'When Calls the Heart' Announced When It Will Return Following the Lori Loughlin Scandal

Hallmark star Erin Krakow finally revealed the big news.

After what feels like the longest "hiatus" ever, we finally know when When Calls the Heart is returning!

Hallmark aired a three-minute clip starring Erin Krakow, who plays Elizabeth Thatcher on the series. She revealed that the drama will return on May 5 and 6 at 8 p.m. before assuming its regular time on Sunday nights. Here's exactly what she had to say:

"I am so happy to tell you that season 6 is returning Sunday, May 5 at 8:00. But that's not all. We want to give you something special to mark our return so we'll also be airing a second, brand-new episode on Monday, May, 6. That's right! Brand-new episodes, two nights in a row before we're back on our regular night, Sundays at 8:00. We can't wait to welcome you back to Hope Valley and share more all-new stories with you."

Erin then showed a sneak peek clip from an upcoming episode, which teases a new mounty (though we still wish it would be Jack!).

Producer Brian Bird also followed up the clip with a post of his own.

"Life throws all of us painful curveballs, and the only way to survive is to walk right through them with courage, grace, a forgiving spirit, and most of all, hope. Many of you have wondered what the future holds for our cast and crew, and for the citizens of Hope Valley," he wrote. "Your care and concern means the world to us, and the best way we can thank you is to encourage you the way you encourage us because… Hope always lives here."

Hearties have been missing Hope Valley since news broke of actress Lori Loughlin's involvement in a widespread college admissions scam. Lori was dropped from Hallmark's upcoming projects, including WCTH where she played Abigail Stanton, and the show took a brief break while it decided how to proceed without her.

Though we're still uncertain about how they'll address Abigail, at least we know when we can tune in next!
