- People are constantly talking about the way Kelly Clarkson looks.
- The Voice coach recently shut down rumors that she's taking "weird pills" to lose weight.
Kelly Clarkson has no time for "fake news" about her body.
Kelly has shed some pounds in the past year—37, to be exact—after decades of struggling with her body image. But recently, the singer's sparked some negative rumors about her health. She is *not* here for the drama, and spoke out on Twitter to set the record straight.
"Fake news that's going around about me is that I've been taking weird pills 4 weight loss or doing weird fad diets," Kelly wrote. "All of this is not true. I ain't got time 4 all that. I eat the same stuff I always have. It’s all just made w/different flours/sugars/ingredients. #Dr.Gundry"
Her latest rebuke of dieting rumors is in line with what Kelly first said when people started buzzing about her slim figure: She's not trying to lose weight, she's just trying to be healthy.
"I had an autoimmune disease and a thyroid problem that started in 2006," Kelly explained during an . "I read this book, it's called , and it might not work for you but it worked wonders for me." The author of the singer's go-to book, Dr. Steven R. Gundry, promotes a long-term, which eliminates foods that he claims cause inflammation.
"I'm, like, 37 pounds lighter," she went on. "But for me, it wasn't really [about] the weight—for me it was that I'm not on my medicine anymore."
If people still need a reason to talk about Kelly, we have a suggestion: Forget about her body and pay attention to her voice. 👏
