Before Maelyn Jarmon from Team Legend was named the winner of The Voice on Tuesday night, a lot went down over the course of the two-hour finale.

The NBC competition showcased incredible performances from an array of artists including The Jonas Brothers, Taylor Swift, Hootie & The Blowfish, BTS, and Halsey. In addition to the bigger names, some other familiar faces showed up to flex their vocal chords and viewers got a chance to see previous contestants from season 16 perform together for the first time since their controversial eliminations weeks prior. However, a few of the competition's former contenders were noticeably absent from The Voice stage.

In addition to the Top 4 finalists, 11 other singers from this season performed at the finale. Almost the entire Top 13 lineup was present, a handful of contestants from the Top 24.

Fans were thrilled to see Betsy Ade, Celia Babini, Lisa Ramey and Presley Tennant perform Stevie Nicks' "Edge of Seventeen."

And two other female favorites, Mari and Kim Cherry, came back to sing a medley of "Good as Hell" and "My Prerogative" alongside the competitions former male frontrunners: Domenic Haynes, Jej Vinson, Kalvin Jarvis, LB Crew, and Shawn Sounds.

So who was missing? Top 13 contestants Oliv Blu (Team Blake), Carter Lloyd Horne (Team Blake), and Rod Stokes (Team Kelly).

The Voice didn't address the fact that Rod, Carter, and Oliv were not included in the finale, and the contestants themselves didn't offer an explanation.

However, a few hours before the show began, Rod did tweet that he misses his former coach Kelly Clarkson and the rest of his Voice family.
