- Keith Urban won Collaborative Video of the Year with Julia Michaels at the 2019 CMT Awards.
- The country singer also performed his hit song, "We Were."
- Keith's wife Nicole Kidman was noticeably absent from the crowd.
Keith Urban and Nicole Kidman have been one of country music's hottest couples for more than a decade. In that time, they have walked countless red carpets together and always act like the other's biggest fan at awards shows. (Who could forget Nicole's iconic dance moves at the 2017 ACM Awards?!) It seems like every time these two step out in public, their adorable relationship is all people can talk about—so everyone was disappointed when Keith arrived solo to the CMT Awards on Wednesday night.
"Actually super devastated that Nicole Kidman isn't at the #CMTAwards because I love watching her and @KeithUrban get down to all the country jams," one viewer wrote on Twitter. Same!
"My wife, Nicole Mary," he said for winning Collaborative Video of the Year. "I wish you were here baby girl. I miss you."
The country singer explained that the award-winning actress couldn't make it to Nashville for the CMTs because she is "working in New York." But that didn't stop Nicole from supporting Keith on social media!
"To all of my husband’s unbelievable fans - thank you for the love! Congrats @KeithUrban @JuliaMichaels #CMTawards," she captioned a photo of her husband and and his collaborating artist.
There's no evidence to confirm this, but we wouldn't be surprised if Nicole was dancing around a hotel room on the East Coast on Wednesday night as she watched Keith perform his hit song "We Were."
You can picture it, can't you?!
