Roma Downey and Mark Burnett are celebrating their son Cameron coming home from the hospital after he was rushed there last week, four years after the 20-year-old underwent brain tumor surgery.
"We are full of gratitude for answered prayers this week and we lift our grateful hearts to you in praise and thanksgiving on this beautiful morning," the Touched by an Angel actress captioned the video below on Instagram Tuesday.
The family also issued a statement to Monday saying, “Our family is so thankful for all the prayers over the last few days. We are relieved to have Cameron back home with us and we are so incredibly grateful for the amazing care he received at UCLA.”
On Sunday, Downey shared a photo in her Instagram Stories of Cameron sitting in a hospital bed at the Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center.
Cameron's health must've taken an unexpected decline within the past week, because just recently he posted photos of himself traveling abroad in England.
Cameron is Downey's stepson and Burnett's son from his previous marriage to Dianne Burnett. Dianne and Mark also have another son named James. Neither Dianne, Mark nor Downey shared specifics about Cameron's recent health struggles on social media.
However, when Downey learned that Cameron had recuperated, she praised her former television co-star Della Reese, who at the age of 86.
"Grateful for my Guardian angel watching over me 😇," Downey wrote. The 57-year-old was raised Roman Catholic and is known for her devout faith.
On Monday, she also shared a post thanking God for "answered prayers" following Cameron's discharge from the hospital.
